Suess Is a Journey, Not a Destation

Listen to the article, and then try to ahe follog questions.

1. What’s author’s w of life?

2. Why is it iportant to follow this w of life?

It is very iportant to have a w of life to base your life on. A w of life that ans a lot tois: sucess is a journey, not a destation. It ans that what atters is not necessarily where you are at the end, but what you aoplish while you are tryg along the way. It ans that no atter what, as long as you try, you ever fail. It ans youlearn fro your istakes and ntue on thejourney a little wiser.

One person I believe that shares y w of life is Mark McGwire. He didn’t get caught upthe ho-run chasethe 1998 season, but stead pyed every gathe best way he uld. And, ost of the ti, he helped his tea. He didn’t jt go out there and hit ho runs becae he wao be aheadthe end, but becae he wao ake it a good season for his teaates and hi.

I also thk the l999-2000 St. Louis Ras as a whole are utilizg y w of life. They py every ga with their full potential stead of lettg a few ng gas go to their heads. They stay foced on pygthe Super Bowl. They know that even if they don’t go all the way, they still will be suessful becae they have had a good journey. Even though they lost so gas, they didn’t give up.

It does not atter if you do not have the ability to be onthe end, tothe chapionship; all that atters is that you worked hard the whole ti. There are a few peoplethe world who already uand what it ans. They uand that suess is a journey, not a destation. But wouldn’t it be a uch better world if everyone did, if everyone would realize that soone willand soone will lose, but what’s iportant is that both sides o try their best? After all, it’s not who s or loses, but how well you py the ga, and I hope I have applied thisy own life.
