When Lucy ceased to be;

作品赏析

本诗描写了一位居住在湖边的女子，不曾被人关注。后又借物喻人，将紫罗兰比作那位女子，“半掩”的害羞感觉与中国古诗中的“千呼万唤始出来，犹抱琵琶半遮面”有异曲同工之妙。将女子的美丽比作天上的星星，多了一幅神秘的感觉。本诗语言简洁，却饱含深情！
