In Love, if Love be Love, if Love be ours,

Faith and unfaith e’er be equal powers:

Unfaithaught is want of faithall.

It is the little rift with the te,

That by and by will ake the ic ute,

And ever wideng slowly silence all.

The little rift with the lover’s te,

Or little pitted speckgarner’d fruit,

That rottg ward slowly oulders all.

It is not worth the keepg, let it go;

But shall it? answer, darlg, answer, no.

And trtnot at all or allall.

作品赏析

爱情是自私的，所以爱情很难容得下背弃和裂痕。水果上的伤疤，时间久了，就会腐蚀掉整个水果。同样，爱人之间的小小裂痕，也会妨碍爱情的发展。诗中的主人公不愿相信爱人会这么狠心，最后还表示，“完全信任我，要么完全不要信我，”以表示自己对爱情的忠贞。
