I would that we were, y beloved, white birds on the foa of the sea!

We tire of the f of the teor, before itfade and flee;

And the f of the be star ofilight, hung low on the ri of the sky,

Has awakedour hearts, y beloved, a sadhat ay not die.

Soon far fro the rose and the lily and fret of the fs would we be,

Were we only white birds, y beloved, buoyed out on the foa of the sea!
