The sea hath its pearls,

The heaven hath its stars;

But y heart, y heart,

My heart hath its love.

Great are the sea, and the heaven，

Yet greater is y heart；

And fairer than pearls or stars

Fshes and beas y love.

Thou little,youthful aiden,

to y great heart;

My heart, and the sea and the heaven

作品赏析

大海、珍珠、蓝天、星辰，诗歌一开始就给人一种宽广之美。然而，诗中男主人公的心比大海、蓝天还要宽广，他的爱比珍珠、星辰还要美丽，想到这些，他怎能不沉醉？当爱来临时，他确实醉了，感觉自己的心和世上所有的东西全部消融了。诗歌语言朴素易懂，表达了所有沉迷于爱情中的男人的心声。
