Anna Kopel
Two years ago, y granda left this earth. It wasn’t until after she died that I truly regnized how uch she actually ant to .She was y friend, y teacher, y spiratioaughtthgs that beca y own personal ws of life. They are lessons that have helpedget through each day with a sile. They are lessons that have adeaware of y strong pots as well as y weaknesses, and helpedto overe those weakhey are true lessons to live by, and I hope I will never fet the.
One day, y granda toldsothg I will always reber. She said:“Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is yift to God.”
Those words have sowhat bee a part ofover the years. Each day I thank God for the any talents He has given , and I try to e those talentsa way which helpsgrow closer to Hi.I believe that we were all born to reveal the glory of God that is with .It’s not jtso of , it iseveryone. And as we each let our own light she, through our talents and ideas, we unnscioly give others perission to do the sa.Jt thk about what our world uld be like if ead every one oflet our own light she through.I thk our world would be a uch better pce, grog together the way God tended.
One ore lesson y granda taughtwas to always go for y dreas and never, ever give up.She oold :“Shoot for the oon, becae even if you fall, you’ll nd aong the stars.”
I have never heard anythg ore trueall y life.I have tried to live by these words, and have figured out that it is very iportant to go for your dreas and never let anythg getyour way.Even if you have had a bad experiene.I believe that life is nstantly testg our level of itnt, and I a nvced life’s greatest rewards are reserved for those who show a never-endg itnt to atil they achieve. This level of deterationaoplish aazg thgs, but it t be ntual and nsistent. As siple as this ay sound, it is still the oor separatg those who live their dreas fro those that liveregret.
A lesson y granda taughtwas:“Never let ao you without g away better and happier.”Everyone should see goodnessyour face, your eyes, your sile.Too often we uiate the power of such thgs: a touch, a sile, a kd word, a listeng ear, an ho plt, or even the sallest act of carg. All have the potential to turn a life around. We should wele everyone as we would wele Christ Hiself, becae He is a part of ead every one of US.
My granda is no longer present here oh, but she will always rea presenty heart. Her words and personality have affected y lifeways I hought possible. Her lessons on life have bee a part of , and have adea better person.I will never fet the great love y granda shared with everyone, her great faithGod, or her spirational words. She is y idol.My granda’s ws of life will liveforever.
